11th JULY: WORLD POPULATION DAY / जागतिक लोकसंख्या दिन

 

दरवर्षी ११ जुलै हा दिवस जागतिक लोकसंख्या दिन म्हणून साजरा केला जातो.

११ जुलै १९८७ रोजी जागतिक लोकसंख्या पाच अब्ज इतकी झाली या घटनेच्या स्मरणार्थ १९८९ पासून दरवर्षी या United Nations Development Programe (UNDP) संस्थेमार्फत जागतिक लोकसंख्या दिन साजरा केला जातो.

 यावर्षी म्हणजेच २०२१ साली या दिवसाची थीम – right and choices are the answer: whether baby boom or bust , the solution to shifting fertility rates lies in prioritizing reproductive health and rights of all people.
